I would think that the original type of nitre blue process would match things up fairly well.

The other option would be to buy one of the Parker straight grip guards that Galazans is carrying now. Then you don't have to match any steels, there won't be any weld lines because it will be one piece and the blueing will look correct through out.

Just an idea.
