As I mentioned, Sheryl became a proficient grouse shot and loved to hunt ducks. It was her favorite hunting.
I'll leave you with one anecdote. She has killed many deer. When I first got her started, I took her to a field adjacent to the airstrip that was frequented in the evening by deer. Before dark a large shooter buck (we only shoot three and a half year olds or better bucks). The deer came out at the end of the field about 250 yards away. I took the gun from her and told it was too long of a shot for her. She protested but I took the gun anyway and proceeded to miss the deer. It was confused by the direction of the shot and ran further into the field and stopped about 100 yards away, looking. I handed the gun to her and she dropped it in its tracks with her .243.
She told everyone I missed the buck and she got it much to my chagrin. I actually loved the kidding.
