Apparently there were two clubs in the same area. This article is from the local Moberly paper and is dated September 24, 1929. I hope the clipping enlarges enough to be read.
I found a clipping announcing the establishment of the Club in 1912. And accounts of the land purchase...for $1.00. It was noted that a good portion of the land was "under water."
