It sounds like a nice D grade and should be shot.
Do you trust that the gunsmith knows how to measure antique shotgun barrel wall thickness for safe shooting?
I would highly recommend ordering a few boxes or a flat of 2.5” RST Classic Shotshell low pressure shells.
