I'd had several requests from folks about a possible smaller, less expensive patch. Done in this style, old school with the chainstitch embroidery, it's just not possible.

I spoke with my manufacturer, we even looked at a design I worked up with lettering only. Even with far less details, the smallest they can get it and get any lettering sharpness would be 8.5 inches long.

I did some checking around on another old style of embroidery that would have worked for sure but had some very bad new. It looks like the last manufacturer who was running a Schiffli Swiss Loom has had their last employee who knew how to operate it retire. The call for emblems made that way is almost non-existent anymore, so rather than train somebody new, they've dropped it from their line. If there's anybody else in the US running one I can't find them. I called all the places I knew who used to and most of them didn't even know what I was talking about, it was so far gone.

That is officially the end of an era and made me kinda sad to tell the truth. Most of smaller size old time gun club patches would have been Swiss Loom manufacture, everything from this point forward will be that flat ugly computer stitch crap.
