Thank you Jent and my little Brittany really thanks you because it would have not been possible to hunt without dog boots. The hunt was a real bust, I actually saw more deer than pheasants (8 deer 5 pheasants). I only fired my gun twice in three days of hard hunting and both of those were more out of frustration than actual shots at birds with any realistic hope of baggging a pheasant. It must have been as dry in Kansas this year as it was in Central Texas because any land that was grazed by cattle had little cover left over for wildlife. Lesson learned-go early in the season and maybe be willing to pay for the right to hunt private land. Thanks again for your help. Bill
