Thanks to Dave, Dean, Fred, & William... Best to You & Yours over the Holidays...

William, 74 degrees in Tx and short sleeves in the field?... Hard to imagine those warm temps here in the PNW in December.

Dean, It's been a while, many years ago, but I remember a old friend sharing a joke similar to the one you mentioned on the "Levity -- STUD ROOSTER" thread. I believe his name was "Brewster the Rooster"?... And as he lay flat on his back legs-up in the deceased position, he opened that one eye and said to the farmer: "Shhhh! go away, they're gett'n ready to land"..... Same bird?...

Fred, good to hear you and Pete are still out there getting it done this time of year, I sure miss seeing photos of O'l Ringo... Sioux has also been eating a lot more this past month, and she's earned it taking 20-30+ steps for every one I take in the field... She's always good company, and being much older than I now (in people years) I appreciate every day we have with her... It's interesting watching Sioux work late winter birds hunkered down in the heavy snow cover, her body language and tail are more subdued, and her overall hunt mannerisms more methodical. The wile O'l wild Rooster is a very cunning and respected foe, never assume you've seen "all" his tricks, because he always has one more.... Is there a Pheasant somewhere in that second image below?

Best, CSL
