I was at a local flea market about 3 years ago and a vendor had an old Remington hammer gun with those "dangerous Damascus barrels". He couldn't believe I was interested in the gun and begged me to take it, I did for $150, it was an 1889 grade 4( only 7 known) in vg+ condition & clean unpitted bores. On the other side of the field another vendor had a set of Remington 10 gauge decarb steel bbls also unpitted- $30. They snapped onto the 1889 perfectly, like they were made for it. And now believe it or not a woman vendor had a box of old misc gun parts that held some assorted complete forearms one of which snapped right on to the 10 gauge bbls-$2. Days like this rarely or never happen but one can hope.
