If it’s to heavy and you jerk instead of squeezing the trigger so you pull off what you’re aiming at it makes no difference what the load is if you don’t hit it . I used to love shooting the big hammer rifles from the bench . Now for extended range trips I prefer a 222 or 6mm PPC . I still like shooting the double 10’s but 1 1/8 ounces of shot pushed with 18.6 grains of Red Dot works well for clay and some feathered targets . Still have an 1 1/4 ounce load pushed with 30 grains of SR7625 but I don’t use it as much now as I used to .
