I wonder why they chose 45-70 on such a large frame ?
I remember reading a couple years ago guys were buying 600 NE barrels from VC and building double rifles on shotguns frames . Cant remember were gauge they were building on though . A 45-120 double would be pretty neat ...

Remington used to important a 45-70 double and I think Pedersoli still makes a hammer gun one .
