One thing I will say about the blue book of gun values, is that if you read the disclaimer/introduction the pricing will make more sense.

The values given reflect ALL ORIGINAL GUNS and are based more on % of ORIGINAL case colors than overall condition. As soon as a gun has had any restoration or modification, the values shown in the Blue book can be tossed out of the window. I know the folks who do the Parker section talk each year and compare notes on actual sales that they know have occurred which becomes the basis for the pricing. Pricing is based on recent auction results and private sales that are known to the contributing editors.
