Maybe thats what they mean by progress....it will always cost more. I remember only being able to buy gas on even days according to the last number on your plate in the 70's and the cost was about .37 cents/gallon. In 1976 I bought a fully loaded Chevy 4X4 with a 400 CI V8 for $5500 tax and all. In 1903 my CHE 16 Bernard was discounted to $95.00 net by PArker Bros. I'd hate to say what I paid for it this summer....talk about inflation....I mean progress At least it's made in the USA
