I disagree with the idea of "incorrectly" we all buy guns for different reasons. It isn't all tied down to ROI. "True collectors" is a matter of opinion. I think you are just seeing the people on this forum prefer a gun they can hunt and use compared to a safe queen. I fail to see how that makes them incorrect or less than true collectors. The guns mean more to them than an investment, which I think makes them more of a collector than someone than is simply wanting to get a maximized return. Which sounds more like an investor than a collector to me anyway.
But that's simply my opinion.
