This gun is definitely an enigma. It almost looks like a "put together" gun with a flat rib, a 'custom' stock (of sorts) which may or may not be original to the gun. The checkering says "Remington" to me and the engraving says “novice” too. I wonder if it didn't start out as a VHE project gun for apprentices in each department....
