Brad Batcheldar did an EH for me. He welded/layered metal. It is perfect now — top lever aligned, etc. I assume the shop still does this work. At the time, it was very inexpensive. I’d sure do it again.
I recall Brad describing the process on this Forum. It might be worth a search.
