Sounds like the same mistake I made a few months ago. Took my son along to a SXS shoot and left him borrow my 12ga PH. Not only did he kick my butt shooting it for the first time, but it's now considered HIS gun!!
Oh well, small price to pay for some quality father/son time.
Best part is, son says I can still use it whenever I want!!
