Barrel steel was supplied by various manufacturers over different time periods. I would not expect that any fluid steel (other than whitworth) was actually imported. But who knows.
You may want to search the forum on the topic as there was a good amount of discussion in the past about the actual comosition differences between the “different” fluid steels used. There was a PP article whiteen on it too.
