At one time I owned a new in box, cased, 28 gauge VHE that may have been the last gun madeprior to the War Dept shutting down civilian gun production. The serial was 242103 produced in April, 1942 if my memory is correct. In my files I have a letter from Remington to their dealers and distributors telling of the required production shutdown. I gave the PGCA a copy of that letter when Ron Kirby was involved.
