The old grouse gunners in my hometown of Pawling, NY, shot Parkers and Foxes but mostly Parkers. As far as I know they were Trojans and VH guns. My grandfather was well off and ordered two DHE's to supplement his VH 20 bore that he bought from an old market hunter. I asked him why he didn't buy higher grade guns and he said that the DHE's suited him just fine. The only other DHE I knew about was owned by Doc Morrison, the doctor who delivered my father.
