Right Dave - In the days of the exposed hammer Parkers the 1-frame 12 bore was the standard but the 2-frame was ordered by those who shot waterfowl and at pigeon and clays games for a purse of prize. This practice generally carried into the hammerless era until just before the turn of the century when the 1 1/2-frame was introduced.
