Thanks for the kind words Charles. It is certainly a group effort and again, we must share credit with our layout artist at the publisher - Brandon makes our magazine really sparkle!!
Going full color would be wonderful and would alleviate a lot of my anxiety in where to place articles containing color pictures... but it is not to be. We could never afford to have a full-color magazine. As it is, the production of a full year of four issues of Parker Pages currently costs us almost $29,000.00. Not including the front and back covers, which are full-color, we currently run fourteen color pages. To double that to twenty-eight pages it would cost an additional $4,000.00 per issue (X 4). That would bring the cost of production to well above the $40 annual membership, plus some.
So, you see, the numbers just aren't there. I don't think anyone wants to see annual membership go up to $50 or more just to have more color pages in our fabulous "journal."
