Forend wood is also not original at all. The gun would have oriignally been fitted with a Splinter forend. It has a beavertail forend (wood only) on it now.

By the looks of it, the barrels may have been set back to put it back on face. Judging by the fit of the rib extension.

As Bill said, the case colors do mot look bad. And the stock finish is nice as well. Whoever did the work just overlooked details like the alignment of nearly ALL of the screws!
