1 1/4 oz loads are magnum loads in the 16 ga, I have several boxes of magnum 2's and 4's given to me that I will probably never shoot. Doesn't matter how much lead you throw at them, if you don't get those gun barrels out in front of the bird, they will keep flying,
( and I keep demonstrating that to myself with great frequency).
That is a wonderful gun!!
