Default First limit of “Parker” snipe!

Decided that even though I don’t own an appropriate Parker small bore gun for use in my addiction to shooting snipe, that I really needed to “get it done anyway”! So I packed up the VH 12 with half pistol grip, that I bought from Russ Jackson a couple of years ago, a couple of 12/28 little skeeter chamber reducers, a box of AA 28 #9’s, and hit the marsh. The 28’s performed great in that big ol gun! Ol’ invincible did it again, and Robin and I are looking forward to bacon wrapped Snipe breast tonight, with a baked sweet potato and turnips with greens that I took from one of our deer food plots this afternoon!

One interesting note, although the little skeeters worked fine, thay are a PITA to reload in the field. BUT, they absolutely cure the sin of taking just one step after shooting, (or shooting at) a snipe until reloaded, and at the ready, because inevitably, another bird or two will erupt as loon as you lift a boot. That along with a Snipe’s uncanny ability to know that both feet are in the muck pointing left, as Mr. Long Beak flushes and breaks right!
