It shouldn't hurt the functionality, there will be less to no choke which is fine for close work in the uplands as in grouse and woodcock.

Value wise the cut barrels will hurt the value. The cost of finding another set of barrels getting them fitted and numbered to the gun would IMHO be cost prohibitive.
