I have never been a big fan of 12 gauge guns for upland bird hunting BUT this gun spoke to me in many ways. It's a best gun from James Purdey, a self opener with 27 inch barrels choked .004 & .008. It's what they call a Light Game Gun and weighs just 6 lbs. With 3/4 and 7/8 oz loads it will make a nice upland gun.
The wood isn't much to look at but the English aren't noted for their wood anyway. Manufacture date is 1922. The barrels are off having new ivory beads installed as it came with red Bradley type beads the horror of it
It will see the Grouse coverts then the Quail fields of south Georgia.
