this entry in FAQ's. I do not know of anyone in Canada doing full and proper restorations but there are a few in the US that are often mentioned on the forum. There is an awful lot of red tape to get a gun into the US. If you chose that route, be prepared for a lengthy process to have a great looking gun come home to you. Others can give you an idea of costs involved to "do it right".
