The serialization book ends at 241788, however it does state that number 242487 was where Remington figured to start serials for the new production of Remington-Parkers in 1988 of which just a few were built. Remington did put a few guns together after the war.
So I really don't know where this leaves you other than speculation. I doubt there is any info available anywhere.
