That's a lot of walking for three ruffie flushes.

Looks cold! Been there, done that! My most memorable are when we see the other woods critters besides the birds - don't get me wrong - the birds are the primary reason to be there but carrying a Parker in the woods gives us a good excuse for a nature walk too.

Late October grouse hunts often produce surprises in Vt.
