Also, in addition to everything else, there is a 16 gauge event Thursday at Deep River and a 25 bird practice round for qualifying. Anyone who is serious about qualifying is encouraged to do the practice round.

I'm trying to be nice, but the last few years, No one was shooting Deep River on Thursday, most of the times it was not even setup for shooters until late Thursday afternoon. So that is how the Drakes Landing shoot started, to have a fun shoot before Deep River. Now ..... not sure why, how to say this, but now people want to split Drakes shoot, from the fun to something else, why....? And now to put a shoot in on Thursday, why, things were going fine ... Why does everything have to happen at Deep River, which is a very poor sporting clay course, the PGCA (I'll say this again) owes Bill nothing, between the LC members and Parker members we bring hundreds of people to his shoot..
Just think what would happen if we moved the challenge the same weekend to a better venue....
