When I first got my NH it chattered when opened. It suddenly came off face within weeks of owning it (probably a shim I didn't see)
I took it to a gunsmith who put it back on face. Not only tight as a drum and lever to the right, but no more chatter
Don't know if the cure was having it put back on face or he lubed something when it was apart.
