Default Another Short Ten Outing

Had a chance to try my newest 10 on the clays course yesterday. Another 1870's English hammer gun. Good shooting dimensions and overall very nice condition. It's got 32 inch barrels, Laminated steel and weighs about 1/2 pound more than my W.W. Greener. I used the Red Dot load put up in both RST Cheddite and Federal hulls. Very nice! 39/50 first time out. Missed a half dozen at the front of the course by shooting over. Took a while to figure out how long the legs should be on those targets. Also missed several second targets of true pairs where the clays called for a quick shift in direction...the heavy gun took a while to stop and reverse course! Shot a few very long targets and crushed them. First time I've broken two at range with 1 shot. 50+ yards and the second bird of the true pair just managed to enter the area of the 2'nd clay. Broke both with the second shot from the slight choke in the left barrel. I was surprised when both broke. I really like this load and these Short Ten's are a great deal of fun!
