It's somewhat personal. Some prefer smaller frame others larger. I have a 1 frame 12 and love it, but I don't find a big difference between it and my 1.5 and 2 frame 12s.
My dream gun though is a long barreled 12 on a 3 frame...while I am dreaming, throw in a set of matching 10 gauge barrels.
