It is actually an extractor gun. 20 gauge Sterly with 26" barrels, skeleton buttplate, semi-beavertail. Dan Rossiter (the guy who did it all) believes that having an escutcheon even on an extractor gun provides additional strength to the forearm wood/metal when one removes the forearm. More then one sterlingworth has had the screws pull out of an oil soaked sterlingworth forearm when removing forearm to take the gun apart. It of course allowed another area for Bob Strosin to do some of his engraving.
The gun weighs 5 lbs 14 oz and is choked .004 and .014. It is my dedicated Grouse/Woodcock gun. Here's a few more pics. PS. Walnut I supplied to Dan and it Circassian and ungodly dense:
