My first .410-bore was a Winchester Model 42 Skeet Gun two barrel and magazine set that jumped out of a pawn shop in Denver in 1970 and begged me to take it home. One barrel and magazine 26-inch SKEET and the other 26-inch with a Cutts. While stationed in San Diego the Cutts barrel got swapped out for a 28-inch modified barrel a local gunsmith had. In the early 1970s I shot Doves, Quail and quite a few Rabbits with it, but mostly skeet targets. I haven't fired a .410-bore shot at game since 1973, but shoot a lot of .410 at clay targets. Also own a Winchester 23 Classic, a Crescent Fire Arms Co. New Empire, a Field Grade Ithaca NID, a Browning Superposed .410-bore New Model Skeet Gun, .410-bore tubes for my Remington Model 3200 Skeet Gun, and my latest toy an RBL-410 --
Lots of fun to be had with the .410-bore.
