Default RST?

I read on another site that Alex is no longer with RST, and I believe it was confirmed. I asked there, but one bothered to answer: not knowing the RST structure, I wondered if Alex was an owner or an employee? I only had a few conversations with him but he seemed like a good fellow and he certainly did a good job with my orders, etc.
