According to page 144 of The Parker Story the "beavertail" or trap forend was first cataloged as an option in 1926, however the first gun recorded in the order books to have this beavertail forend was A1S No. 171598 (produced in July 1915) which was noted "Tip extra long and wide - Chamberlain".

Over the years many Parkers went back to Meriden to have the beavertail forend fitted and documentation can be found on some of these guns.
