9.3x72r seems to be fairly common under 16ga barrels. Your rifle barrel may be marked. Mine is. If it was made after 1912 it should have a marking similar to 8.8/72mm. that is if it is a 9.3. the 8.8 is the actual bore diameter and the groove diameter can be anywhere from .358 to .376. The Europeans still call them 9.3. You will have lots of fun sorting it out.
