The buttstock of this gun has been seriously bodgered by a "garage gunsmith." Who apparently believed the proper way to disposed of wood imperfections was to sand them out. Just look at how that guard tang hangs out...

Not to mention the reversed/misaligned hinge pin screw...


Sadly, any attempt to deepen/alter the inlet relationship of the Parker's upper and lower bits is an invitation to even more grief. Especially for a neophyte. The best you can do on this gun is enhance the butt to a decent LOP and shoot the gun until it needs totally restocked.
