Default Interesting day at the skeet range

Well, met some guys at the Gun Range today for lunch to shoot some skeet and try out the RST rounds in my damascus barreled D grade.

Well about the time we were going to shoot a monsoon hit. So we had to wait that out while swatting mosquitos. But we got to watch the Pelicans diver for fish in the bay so it was entertaining.

Then as we started shooting our phones went off with an alert from the county (we are all county employees) about a tornado warning and to seek shelter. Well we had clear skies and nothing else was close to us and since it takes a miracle in this humidity to cause a tornado we kept shooting. We did spot a funnel cloud though, but it was about 15 miles away and never touched down.

Finally after shooting and not blowing up my hand with my dangerous damascus barrels(hit 20 out of 25 with RST 1 oz spreader loads), we started talking to the guys who were setting up on the trap range and learned they were with wounded warriors. All in all a fun outing over lunch.
