Gentlemens:

Thank you for your thoughts on this matter.

There are some dimensional differences between my plate and the mid sized Parker, but the real issue is the location of the top screw hole. The Parker is located at the tip of the heel and angles downward. My plate has the hole lower and it goes straight in.

While not exactly the same, I think that if the hole could be moved the plate could "pass".

In any event, thanks again for your help. I will ruminate over this for a while...

As a matter of fact, I do plan on attending the Southern. Mr. Mann and I will be flying down from our exile here in the Great White North. I look forward to seeing you and your bride again.

I assume that there will be a large Parker contingent for the Parker/ Smith challenge. I hope to be able to meet some of you good folk.
