Reality, cold sleeping in a tree stand, listening for first shots at day break,does in the pines, a nice 8 pointer behind the does, heart pounding, a loud bang, Buck down, venison liver fried with onions and potatoes, grilled tenderloin, Fried cubed venison steak with rice and gravy, cold beer. It was a time in the past, tougher to climb trees now or take cold, want to sleep in, but get up and hunt like it might be the last time, soon it will be.
