Default Ithaca 4E 16 Gauge

At a recent auction I found this 16 gauge Ithaca 4E with 32" ventilated ribbed barrels and a single selective trigger. It will need new wood because someone tried to replace the wood, but needed a little more skill and experience. And as you can see one of the ejectors isn't working properly. But, I love it!
The good news is this gun will powder a target at 40-50 yards with the standard 1 ounce factory loads. It was made in 1927 and there were a total of 560 4Es made including 24 total 410 and 28 gauges; that leaves 536 10s, 12s, 16s and 20s so I don't think there were too many 16s with 32" barrels, let alone vent ribs. Unfortunately, the Ithaca book does not go into that detail.
