Also went to my 1954 edition of Stoeger's page 223 which details both Frenvch and Belgian proof marks-- Shows 18 and all thye provisional and final proofs- - no "perron" stamping, which means the lugs were forged with the barrel breeches E&L show leige proof House- inspector's marks, etc. also numbers on lower rib starting at about 6" forward of the hanger loop- which also has stampings on the flat or "face" area- Water table is also stamped, and the matching serial number from the barrels is the same- Pat'd dates are Mar ?? April 14 and June 26 1882--FYI--
