Somebody probably did it when they were "going to quit making 16 gauge shells". I wonder when that was? I've heard guys say that all my life, it would be comical if it wasn't so stupid. I know a guy that, to this day, thinks they're going to do that and hordes shells thinking he's going to "cash in" when they stop. I also went to an estate sale a year or so ago where all the shotgun shells were 16 gauge and priced at $35 a box because they "didn't make them anymore". I told the guy I had a couple cases of 16 gauge I'd sell him for $15 a box, he didn't want to buy then oddly enough.
