In the software update and code changes I just finished on the servers this afternoon, I want you to know I globally "shut off" the "Visitor Messaging"..
You may ask why...
Many of the folk on this forum were confused between a "Visitor Message" and a "Private Message" - and would send a Visitor Message thinking no one could read it but the recipient. Unfortunately - nothing could be further from the truth. Those "messages" were "wide open" for anyone to see...
Another Member who shall remain nameless (Hi Chuck!
) also pointed out that there was no direct link to re-read a visitor messages - which raised another "software" issue in my mind (I think in "software and hardware" - sorry
)
Anyway - while some of the public visitor messages were an "interesting read" (ah-hem, like a PGCA Member who was trying to buy a non-members Parker?? Not that that would EVER HAPPEN!!
) - but, anyway - the ONLY messaging system from here forward will be "Private Messaging"..
