I am curious to know when has the supply chain of ammunition and reloading components, especially powder was this disrupted? I wasn't alive then but I am guessing you would have to go back to WWII. We have been through a lot as a nation since then; the threat of nuclear war with the Soviet Union in the Cuban Missile Crisis, the assassination of a President, the country torn apart with riots and fires in the '60's, the gun control act of 1968, college students shot and killed and by National Guard, the Arab Oil Embargo of the early 1970's, the meltdown of nuclear power plants, the Gulf War and the torching of many of the worlds oil wells, 9/11 and two wars following, the financial meltdown of 2008 and so on. Only now we become so scared as a group we buy so much ammo and powder to disrupt the supply chain. We are that afraid of a politician and politics now? One store has told me ammunition sales are up by a factor of 10, so maybe we are but I too think there are other factors exacerbating the situation.
