Saw an article once describing how so many "blown off" toes have occured over the years. The article stated that while spending a day shooting or hunting, the shooter would rest the shotgun (or rifle) muzzle on the top of the boot to protect the muzzle while resting or socializing with fellow shooters. Moments later and a quick lift of the gun and you know what happens next. While reading the article I suddenly remembered how many times I actually did that in the past. Yes, I still have all my toes, but looking at your photos reminded me of the article. No joke, that used to be the number one cause for shotgun and rifle accidents.

I am sure that one is not loaded. Great photo!
