Checkered butt
Questions have arisen regarding checkered butts.
So far as I know, they are in the pictured pattern.
See also the records page calling for "no butt plate". That gun is interesting for its many details concerning stock dimensions in LOP, pitch at toe and pitch at heel. It was meant for 3/4 oz and to give good patterns at 20 and 25 yards. The addresses are Halifax NS and Red Springs NC.
