And part of the victorious U.S. squad in the Anglo-American competition of 1901. His return was delayed when he was hospitalized in London with Typhoid Fever. Richard Merrill (also shooting a Parker) stayed with him, and they finally made it home almost 7 weeks after the rest of the team.
